As a company which is working with #renewableenergies, sustainability is a topic of heart for us. Since we want to support our global climate goals, we teamed up with Eden Reforestation Projects. We started this cooperation in 2020 and are cherishing it ever since. 😊🙌
With Eden we’re currently planting 20 mangroves for each gigawatt hour traded and 250 mangroves for each business partner and employee per year. Over the past two years, that added up to 348.000 trees!🌳
Optimax isn’t the only company which is always growing. Eden Reforestation Projects just published their annual report on 2021, stating that their 11.500 community members managed to plant 358 million trees which is nearly double of what they planted in 2020! Their goal for this year is to continue growing – by mid-2022 they plan to have planted their billionth tree. Eden is currently developing even more projects in Guatemala, Ethiopia, Zambia and the Philippine Islands. They’re also working on implementing more detailed monitoring and evaluation standards as well as advancing their tracking abilities when it comes to socioeconomic impact of their work.🧐💪
